This involved background scientific research, testing competitor products, ideation, CAD, FEA simulations, prototyping, creating documentation like specifications, quality control plans, and BOMs, and testing pre-production samples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in broad range of materials (including plastics, rubbers, silicone, metals, magnets) and manufacturing processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successfully launched approximately twenty new products per year, plus managed additional sustaining engineering work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hired, managed and mentored a Junior Engineer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Reckitt Benckiser &#8211; <em>Associate Engineer &#8211; <\/em>2012-2016 Senior Associate Engineer,&nbsp;<\/em>2016-2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Led early stage product design ideation and prototyping. Design parts, operate 3D printers, and test prototypes daily. Primary brands worked on included Lysol, Harpic, Dettol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managed global product development of multimillion dollar projects through factory acceptance testing, interfacing with designers, internal stakeholders, consumer research, foreign factories, suppliers, external agencies etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Created timelines, BOMS, COGS sheets, success criteria, risk assessments, line trial reports, other stage gate documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focused on projects solving mechanical design problems e.g. wipes perforation consistent separation, fluid spraying at extremely low cost, disposable head toilet brush.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducted design research, including a four week immersion in India<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Smart Design &#8211; Design Engineer Intern<\/em><br>2011-2012<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participated in all aspects of the design process. User research, brainstorming, prototyping, CAD development, meeting with the clients, refining, presentations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From a four months stint, two products that I worked on made it to market: OXO Cold Brew Coffee Maker, and OXO Shower Curtain Clips.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Nike Digital Sport &#8211; Product Engineer Internship<\/em><br>2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Designed new watchbands considering the user, manufacturing, and design language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Built \u201cconcept car\u201d compression shirt and designed corresponding experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisted in QA testing and design of QA testing machine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Designed social media experience for retail employees in a cross-functional team.
